We are pleased to invite you to our 17th Where Land Meets Sea spiritual retreat on the beautiful west coast of Sweden. Welcome to listen to inspiring talks, take part in communal prayers and meditative gatherings and enjoy the company of spiritual teachers and fellow seekers, all while immersing yourself in a rejuvenating spiritual and natural environment.
As always, the retreat is open to all – brothers and sisters, young and old, new seekers and seasoned travellers on the spiritual path, irrespective of what formal school or tariqa you belong to, if any. All sincere seekers from any religion or tradition are most welcome. We seek to meet in a spirit of openness, compassion, courtesy and understanding. Our hope, God willing, is for this to be a time in which our relative, transient and limited self (nafs) aligns itself harmoniously with the absolute and unbounded soul (ruh).
The retreat will begin on Friday 26 August at 18.45 and continue until 13.45 on Sunday 28 August. Scheduled activities will begin 10.00 on Saturday and at 09.15 on Sunday and finish at 22.30 both Friday and Saturday. See full programme.
Throughout the retreat, Shaykh Mohammed Muslim Eneborg will give talks on the theme Trials and Tribulations. In between these sessions, there will be time for communal and individual prayer and meditation, contemplative walks by the sea and opportunities to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. We will start each day with a silent meditation session (dhikr) and in the evenings we gather for a vocal dhikr.
Fees and venue
The fee for retreat is 500 SEK for adults and 200 SEK for children above four years of age. Younger children are welcome free of charge. If you want to attend the retreat, but have difficulties paying the fee, please specify this when you register and we will try to find a solution.
The retreat will take place at Kuggaviksgården in Åsa on the West coast of Sweden. A limited number of beds are available at the venue and will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. More information about Kuggaviksgården and housing and transport options can be found here.
We look forward to seeing you at the retreat! You are all most welcome!
With peace, light and joy,
